How can you buy USDT in Waletifi?
There are three routes, and each fits a different starting point:
See how P2P trading with escrow works
- Buy with local currency: in the P2P section you pick another user’s ad. The seller’s USDT is locked in an escrow contract before you pay, and it is released to your wallet after they confirm.
- Swap into USDT: if you hold Toncoin, Ether or BNB, you swap it for USDT in the Swap section. The minimum received and the fees are shown before you sign.
- Deposit from outside: send USDT you already hold on an exchange or in another wallet to your Waletifi address, on the right network.
Step by step: buy USDT with local currency
A P2P purchase goes like this:
- Install the app, create a wallet and write down your 24 words.
- Under “Me”, complete identity verification and add a bank account in your own name. Review takes some time.
- Open the Market tab, choose P2P, enter how much USDT you want and pick an ad.
- Send the request and wait until the seller locks the USDT in escrow. Do not pay before that.
- Pay the exact amount from your own account and record the payment in the app.
- When the seller confirms the money arrived, the escrow releases the USDT into your wallet.
How is the price to buy USDT set?
Each ad owner sets their own price, and you see it in your local currency before you start. The fee is shown before you confirm. To compare an ad with the market, check the live USDT rate.
Which network should you buy USDT on? TRC20, BEP20, TON or ERC20
USDT exists on several separate blockchains, and sender and receiver must use the same one. In Waletifi it works like this:
- TON: USDT from P2P arrives on this network, and you can swap it. An exchange you send to must accept deposits on TON.
- BNB Smart Chain (BEP20): P2P only where it has been enabled, plus swaps with BNB or USDT on Ethereum.
- Ethereum (ERC20): you get it by swapping from USDT on TON or BEP20, and the network fee is paid in ETH.
- Tron (TRC20): there is no buying or swapping in the app. You can only receive it from outside, and sending needs TRX for fees.
Wrong-network and scam risks
If you send USDT on a network the receiver does not support, it may not come back. Re-check the network they announced and send a small test first.
In P2P, never pay outside the app or from someone else’s account. Escrow stops two classic scams, but it does not remove all risk.
Who is this for?
This page suits people who want USDT to hold or pay with, and who want the keys in their own hands:
- Someone who wants to buy USDT with local currency without trusting a stranger
- Someone converting Toncoin or Ether back into USDT
- Someone moving USDT from an exchange to personal storage
