How do you buy BNB?
You have these routes:
See EVM networks and the 0x wallet
- Swap: turn USDT on BNB Smart Chain into BNB. USDT on Ethereum can first be moved to USDT on BNB Smart Chain.
- P2P with local currency: where it is enabled, you buy BNB from other users with escrow. Identity verification is required.
- Deposit: send BNB from an exchange or another wallet.
Step by step: swap USDT into BNB
The swap flow:
- Open the Swap section.
- Under “From” choose USDT on BNB Smart Chain, and under “To” choose BNB.
- Enter the amount and read “Minimum received”, “Price impact” and the fees.
- Confirm with fingerprint or PIN.
The right network: BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)
BNB exists on more than one network, and most mistakes come from picking the wrong one. Waletifi holds BNB on BNB Smart Chain, so choose that network (BEP20) when you withdraw from an exchange. The address looks like an Ethereum one, starting with 0x, but balances are separate.
Gas and fees
You pay fees on BNB Smart Chain in BNB. In a P2P trade on this network you also need a little BNB for your own actions, and the app tells you how much. All fees are shown before you confirm.
Risks
BNB’s price moves and no return is guaranteed. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, so check the network and address twice before sending. In P2P, never pay outside the app.
