How do you buy digital gold?
The steps to buy gold online in the app:
No USDT yet? See how to buy USDT first
- Have USDT. If you start with local currency, buy USDT in P2P first.
- Open the Gold section from the Market tab or the home shortcut and tap “Buy”.
- Choose “By amount” or “By grams” and enter the value. The minimum purchase shows under it.
- Read the quote: weight, price per gram, total fee and minimum received.
- Confirm with fingerprint or PIN. After the purchase you see the invoice.
What exactly is digital gold?
Waletifi gold is a token on Ethereum backed by physical gold. One full token represents one troy ounce, which the issuing company holds. The token sits in your own wallet under a key on your phone, and your balance is shown in grams and your local currency.
What does the price depend on?
The gold price in Waletifi follows the global gold price and the USDT rate. It has no jeweller’s making charge or local premium, so it differs from your local market. You see the price per gram and the fee before you confirm.
Fees and minimum purchase
Each purchase has fees: the Waletifi fee for the swap and the Ethereum network fee. On small amounts the fee takes a large share and the app warns you. The app shows the minimum under the amount; trust the number on screen, since it can change.
Risks of buying digital gold
Know these before you buy:
- Gold can fall as well as rise, and no return is guaranteed.
- You rely on the issuer to hold the gold behind the token, and the issuer can freeze the token.
- If the token’s price strays far from the global price, the app warns you or pauses buying.
- If you lose your 24 words, nobody can recover your gold.
Who is this for?
For people who want to build up gold in small amounts without storing it physically, and who accept a global price. It does not replace a coin or jewellery you can hold.
