How do you buy Tron?
You buy TRX outside Waletifi. The usual steps:
See USDT on Tron and other networks
- Pick a reputable exchange that is legal and active in your country.
- Open an account, verify if required, and buy the TRX.
- In Waletifi open Receive and choose the Tron network. A Tron address starts with T.
- At the exchange start a withdrawal, choose the Tron (TRC20) network and paste the address. Send a small test first.
- When it shows in History, send the rest.
Why do you need TRX next to USDT?
Fees on Tron are paid in TRX or energy, not in USDT. To send TRC20 USDT you need some TRX as well. If you do not have it, Waletifi warns you before sending and shows the fee before you confirm.
How does Waletifi hold your Tron?
TRX stays in your own wallet, and the key lives only on your phone. We do not hold it and cannot access it. The 24-word recovery phrase is standard and restores in other BIP39 wallets.
Risks: wrong network and price
Tron and TRC20 USDT only exist on the Tron network. If you send from an exchange on another network, the funds may not come back. TRX’s price also moves, and no return is guaranteed.
- Check the network twice before you withdraw.
- Copy the address instead of typing it, and compare its first and last characters.
- Never share your recovery phrase.
