About NVIDIA and NVDA stock
NVIDIA is a US technology company that designs graphics processors (GPUs), data-center chips used to train and run artificial intelligence, and the networking and software built around them, such as its CUDA platform. Its chips are also used in gaming PCs, workstations and cars.
NVIDIA’s shares trade on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker NVDA, which is why people often search for “NVDA stock” rather than the company name.
How to buy NVIDIA stock with USDT in Waletifi
When the Stocks section is enabled in your country, the steps are:
- Open the Stocks section and choose NVIDIA (NVDA).
- Enter the amount of USDT you want to spend.
- On the review screen, check the number of NVDA tokens, the conversion fee and the network fee in ETH.
- Confirm with your fingerprint or PIN; the transaction is signed on your phone.
- The tokens land in your own Ethereum address, and you can sell them back to USDT whenever the section is open to you.
What you actually own
You own a token, not an NVIDIA share. The token is issued by a special-purpose company of a regulated issuer and is backed 1:1 by NVIDIA shares held with a US broker, plus a buffer; its price tracks the NVDA share price.
You get no voting rights and no direct ownership of NVIDIA: the token is a claim on the issuer. Any dividends are reinvested into the token’s price instead of being paid to you.
Costs
Two costs apply, and both are shown before you confirm: the conversion fee for swapping USDT into the token, and the Ethereum network fee, paid in ETH. Keep a little ETH in your wallet for the network fee; the app warns you if it is missing.
Risks of tokenized NVIDIA stock
The share price itself can rise or fall sharply. On top of that:
- The issuer can pause transfers, block addresses and even remove tokens from an address.
- Redeeming directly with the issuer requires identity verification.
- Liquidity on the network is limited, so a large order can move the price against you.
- The US market is open 9:30 to 16:00 New York time on weekdays; on weekends and US holidays the price can gap.
- Fake NVIDIA tokens and look-alike contracts exist; only buy through the Stocks section in the app.
- The issuer may restrict addresses it associates with certain countries, including sanctioned countries such as Iran and Afghanistan; consider this like the other risks before buying.
Availability
