How to receive crypto in Waletifi: choose the network and address
To receive crypto in Waletifi, tap “Receive”, choose the asset and the right network, and give the sender your address or QR code. The network is the part that matters most: the sender must use exactly the network you selected, or the funds usually cannot be recovered.
Step 1: open “Receive”
There is a “Receive” button on the home screen. You can also open it from an asset’s own page (TON or USDT, for example) or from the Pay tab with “Receive funds”.
If the asset exists on several networks, such as USDT, the app first asks “Which network?”.
Step 2: choose the network
The sheet says “Choose the network to receive USDT on. Funds sent from another network can't be recovered.” Each network shows its own balance.
Agree the network with the sender. If they withdraw from an exchange, they must select the same network in the withdrawal form. Our guides on USDT networks and on a wrong-network transfer explain the differences.
Step 3: read the address screen
The “Receive” screen has network chips at the top. For each network a banner says “Only on ...” and “Transfers to this address on another network cannot be recovered.” Below it you get the QR code and the address of that network.
Every network has its own address, so after switching network, take the address again.
Step 4: share the address
You have several options:
- “Copy address”: copies it, and the clipboard is cleared after 60 seconds.
- “Share”: sends the address straight to a chat or app.
- QR: a sender next to you scans it with their own app.
- “Or receive with your handle”: if you have an @handle, give that instead.
Memo and account activation
Receiving into Waletifi normally needs no memo; memos matter mostly when you send to an exchange. XRP and Stellar are a different case: a new account is activated by its first deposit, and the app says “First deposit: at least ...” up front. That minimum stays locked in the account.
So never send less than that first minimum to a new XRP or Stellar address.
Step 5: test with a small amount first
For the first deposit from any new source, send a small amount and wait for it to arrive before sending the rest. You can follow it on the home screen under “Recent transactions” and in “History”.
Give it some time; depending on the network it takes seconds to minutes. If it is slow, ask the sender for the transaction ID and look it up in a blockchain explorer. Send the main amount only when the test has fully arrived.
Common mistakes
If a deposit does not show up, check these first:
- The sender’s network is not the one selected in Waletifi.
- You copied the address from an old message or screenshot. Always copy fresh and compare the first and last characters after pasting.
- The sender needed to add a memo or similar and did not; that is usually a source-side issue, for example at an exchange.
- A first XRP or Stellar deposit was below the minimum.
