How to create a Waletifi wallet, step by step
To create a Waletifi wallet you only need an Android phone: install the app from waletifi.com, tap “Create a new wallet”, write the 24 words on paper and set a 6-digit PIN. There is no phone number, email or name to enter, and the whole thing takes a few minutes.
Step 1: install the app from the website
Go to waletifi.com, tap “Get the app” and then “Direct download (APK)”. The app needs Android 7.0 or later, and store versions are coming soon.
Download only from the site itself and check the address bar before you install. If Android asks for permission to install the file, allow it for this one install only.
Step 2: choose your country and language
On first launch the app asks “Where do you live?”. Pick your country and language and tap “Continue”; currency, digits, calendar and payment methods are set from that, and you can change them later.
On the welcome screen tap “Create a new wallet”. If you already have a wallet, tap “I have a wallet · Import” and read the restore guide instead.
Step 3: read “Before you begin”
The screen says “24 words unlock everything”. Those words are the only way to recover your wallet, and we do not have them either.
- “Write them on paper”: do not type or save them anywhere.
- “No photos or screenshots”: your gallery and cloud storage are not safe.
- “Don't share them with anyone”: support will never ask for them.
Step 4: write down the recovery phrase
The words are hidden at first. Sit somewhere private and tap “Tap to reveal”. This is a secure screen: screenshots are blocked, nothing can be copied, and the phrase is never put on the clipboard.
Write the words on paper, numbered and in order, then tap “I've written them down”. For where to keep the paper, see our guide on backing up a 24-word seed phrase safely.
Step 5: verify the phrase
On “Verify phrase” the app asks for three positions, for example “Words 3, 7 and 12”. Pick the right words from the options, in order, and tap “Next”. A wrong pick shows an error and lets you try again.
Then you see “Backup complete”. Tap “Set PIN” to continue.
Step 6: PIN and fingerprint
Enter a “6-digit PIN”, then enter it again under “Confirm PIN”. The app tells you the PIN is never stored on your phone and only unlocks your key. If you forget the PIN, the recovery phrase is the only way back.
If your phone supports it, “Unlock with fingerprint” appears. “Enable” lets your finger unlock the app from now on; “Later” keeps the PIN only. The PIN always stays as a fallback. You then land on the home screen and can start by receiving or buying USDT.
Common mistakes and tips
These are the errors we see most:
- Taking a photo of the words or typing them into a notes app. Anyone who reaches your phone or cloud account gets your wallet.
- Giving the words to someone who says they are “Waletifi support”. Support never asks for the 24 words.
- Choosing an easy PIN such as 123456 or a birthday.
- Writing a word in the wrong order or spelling. Compare against the screen straight away.
- Sending a large amount before testing with a small one.
