How to convert one crypto to another in Waletifi

Published:

To convert in Waletifi, open the Swap screen, choose the asset you give in “From” and the asset you want in “To”, type an amount and tap “Review & sign”. Before you sign you see “Minimum received”, the fees and “Price impact”. The section may not be enabled in every country.

Step 1: open Swap

Tap “Swap” under “Shortcuts” on the home screen, or open the Market tab and tap “Swap”. An asset’s own page has the same button.

If the section is closed in your country or paused, the app says “This feature is unavailable in your region” or “Swapping is temporarily unavailable. Your assets remain in your wallet.”

Step 2: choose “From” and “To”

Each side is an asset on a network, for example USDT on Tron or TON. Tap the asset to open the list. The two-arrow button swaps the sides.

Type the amount under “From”; your balance is shown there. When the two sides are on different networks, the conversion crosses networks and the app writes the route step by step.

Step 3: read the quote

The route is shown as steps, for example “Step 1 · Market” and “Step 2 · Bridge”, each with “One signature”, ending in “Receive on ...” with an estimated time. Check these rows:

  • “Minimum received”: the least you receive, even if the price moves a little.
  • “Bridge fee”: only when the network changes.
  • “Network fee”: paid on the source network, with its value in your currency.
  • “Price impact”: how much your amount moves the price.
  • “Waletifi fee”: the fee for the conversion itself.

Step 4: warnings

If the amount is large relative to liquidity, “Price impact” warns “This amount is large relative to liquidity.” At the extreme the app says you may receive much less, so try a smaller amount.

For some tokens it also says “The issuer can freeze ...” or can pause transfers. If the network is busy you see “Network fee is high”, which is a warning, not a block.

Step 5: native coin for the fee, then sign

The network fee is paid in the network’s own coin, such as ETH on Ethereum or TRX on Tron. If you have too little, the app says “Not enough ... for the network fee” and offers “Receive ...”.

Then confirm “Review & sign” with fingerprint or PIN. “Swapping” shows the progress, and for cross-network routes you can tap “Leave · Notify me”. If a quote expires you get “Quote expired. Get a fresh quote.” and nothing is signed.

Why a conversion can’t proceed

Instead of a vague error, the app explains the reason:

  • “Your ... balance is zero”: pick another asset or receive some first.
  • “This conversion isn’t available right now”: no route; change one side.
  • “Not enough ... for the network fee”: receive some of the fee coin.
  • “This amount is below the minimum” or “above the maximum”: adjust the amount.
  • “Fees are more than this amount”: nothing would arrive, so try more.
  • “The market isn’t answering right now” or “This conversion is paused for now”: try again later.

Questions and answers

How is converting in Waletifi different from buying on an exchange?

It happens from your own wallet and the transaction is signed on your phone. Your assets stay in your wallet until you sign.

What does “Minimum received” mean?

The least you get, shown before you sign, even if the price moves slightly. Read it together with “Price impact”.

Why do I need a little ETH or TRX to convert?

Because the network fee is paid in that network’s own coin. The app tells you how much is missing before you sign.

How long does a cross-network conversion take?

The app shows an estimated range in minutes, and you can leave the screen and get a notification.
